MnP (or Meat n' Potatos if you're feeling fancy) is a bi-weekly competition hosted at OCRemix.com. Created by HoboKa in 2013, the main aim on the competition is to help aspring remixers hone their production skills without focussing too much on the arrangement side of things. To quote HoboKa himself: "The goal of MnP is to promote that "meat and potatoes" conservative approach to remixing: this includes the mood and composition of source tunes. It is up to the remixer to create their own personalization, or to simply give it a sound upgrade. Moreover, the compo is a great opportunity to hone your remixing skills and give video game music the respect that is due. A modicum of originality is recommended, but not required."

Each round uses a source chosen by the previous rounds winner (or multiple sources in the event of a tie). A MIDI file is provided for the source which is hosted on ThaSauce.net to be downloaded by anyone who wishes to take part. Once a track is completed it is uploaded to ThaSauce (registration with the website is required. Don't worry; it's free!) and voted on by other members of the site. After the voting period is over the votes are tallied and the winner is annouced.
